To provide a meaningful, safe, and personalized dating experience, Lovingo collects several categories of information. We only collect information that is necessary and proportionate to the services we offer.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Account & Profile Information: When you register or create a profile, we collect your name, date of birth, gender identity, sexual orientation (optional), profile photos, and any bio or about-me text you choose to write.
• Preferences & Interests: Your stated relationship goals (e.g., long-term relationship, friendship), age preferences, distance preferences, and any interests or hobbies you add to your profile.
• Verification Information: Phone number or email address used to create and verify your account.
• Communications: Messages, photos, GIFs, audio clips, and other media you send and receive through the in-app messaging system.
• Support Interactions: Information you provide when contacting our support team, including feedback, complaints, or reports.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Location Data: With your permission, we collect your approximate GPS-based location to display nearby profiles and improve match relevance. You can revoke location access at any time via your device settings. If location is denied, some features may be limited.
• Device & Technical Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, mobile network information, app version, and crash reports.
• Usage Data: Features you use, profiles you view or like, matches made, session duration, swipe behavior, and in-app navigation patterns. This data helps us understand how users interact with the app.
• Log Data: Our servers automatically record information including the time and date of your requests, pages viewed, and any errors that occur.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes, all of which are necessary to operate and improve the Lovingo platform:

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces significant legal effects, nor do we use it for targeted advertising by third-party advertisers.

We treat your personal data with respect and do not sell it to any third parties. We only share your information in the limited circumstances described below:

• With Other Users: Your public profile information — including your display name, age, photos, bio, and interests — is visible to other registered users of the Lovingo platform. Private messages are only visible to you and your match.
• Service Providers (Google Firebase): We use Google Firebase to power core functionality including user authentication, real-time database, cloud storage (for photos and media), and analytics. Firebase may collect technical identifiers as part of providing these services. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only as directed by us and not for their own commercial purposes.
• Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Lovingo, our users, or the public.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users of any such change via email or a prominent notice in the app.
• With Your Consent: We may share your data in other ways if you have explicitly consented to such sharing.

We retain your personal data only for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law.

• Active Accounts: Your profile and associated data remain stored while your account is active and you continue to use the app.
• Account Deletion: You may delete your Lovingo account at any time through Settings → Delete Account within the app or by submitting a request via our Account Deletion Page. Account deletion requests can be scheduled for 30 to 90 days. If you log back into the app during that time, your account is fully reactivated.
• Backup Retention: Residual copies of deleted data may remain in encrypted backup systems for up to 90 days after deletion, after which they are permanently purged.
• Legal Hold: In certain circumstances, we may be required to retain data for longer periods to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
• Conversation Data: Messages exchanged between users are deleted when either user deletes the conversation or their account.

If you wish to request deletion of specific data without deleting your entire account, please contact us at the email address provided in Section 12.

We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

• Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocols.
• Encryption at Rest: Sensitive user data stored in our Firebase database is encrypted at rest.
• Authentication: Access to user accounts is protected by secure authentication mechanisms provided by Google Firebase Authentication.
• Access Controls: Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who require it to perform their duties, and all such personnel are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Security Monitoring: We regularly monitor our systems for potential vulnerabilities and conduct security reviews.

Managing Your Preferences

• Location Access: Revoke at any time via your Android device's Location settings.
• Push Notifications: Manage in your Android device notification settings or within the app.
• Profile Visibility: Control who sees your profile through the app's Privacy Settings.
• Account Pausing: You can temporarily hide your profile without deleting your account.

Lovingo is a dating application intended exclusively for adults. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or use personal information from individuals under the age of 18 years.

By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We use reasonable measures during account creation to verify user age. If we discover or are notified that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a minor, we will promptly delete that information and terminate the associated account.

Lovingo integrates with third-party services to deliver core functionality. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them:

• Google Firebase (Google LLC): We use Firebase for authentication, cloud database storage, file storage, and analytics. Firebase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

• Google Play Services: Certain Android device features and updates are powered by Google Play Services, which may collect diagnostic and usage information per Google's own policies.

Lovingo does not currently integrate with social media networks or display in-app advertisements from external ad networks. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

As a native Android application, Lovingo does not use traditional browser cookies. However, we and our service providers may use similar tracking technologies, including:

• Mobile Advertising IDs: The Android Advertising ID (AAID) may be used by Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve app performance. You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising via your Android device settings under Google → Ads.
• App Analytics: Firebase Analytics collects anonymized usage data such as session counts, feature engagement, and screen flow. This data is used solely for internal app improvement and is not shared with third-party advertisers.
• Crash Reporting: We collect crash logs and error reports to identify and fix bugs quickly. These logs do not contain your private messages or profile content.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
• Display an in-app notification or prompt informing you of the change.
• For significant changes, provide more prominent notice, such as a push notification or an email to your registered address.

Your continued use of Lovingo after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your data.

By using the Lovingo application, you freely and expressly consent to the collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, please discontinue use of the application and submit a data deletion request by emailing us at sourabh3527@gmail.com or using the in-app account deletion feature. Please note that withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred prior to withdrawal.
